Jamie East chooses three wildcard housemates
Big Brother’s Bit On The Side presenter Jamie East has chosen three wildcard housemates from whom the public will vote for one to enter the house.

Jamie has previously teased on Twitter that over the past four months he has been filming something “that has never been done in the history of Big Brother”.
Earlier in May, pictures were taken showing him with potential contestants with sheets over their heads, on the same day that the Daily Star began rumours of a wildcard housemate.
Today the paper has put the pieces together, and announced that a “trio of ticking timebombs” – an Indian Brian Dowling, a Doctor Who geek and a girl dubbed ‘The Hurricane’ – have been chosen by Jamie as wildcards.
Producers gave the Bit On The Side presenter the task of seeing all rejected auditionees before picking the freakiest to go off to a bootcamp and deciding on his top three.
He revealed: “I went in with a plan to pick housemates that Big Brother would never put in the house. I think I’ve succeeded.”
They are described as:
- A super-smart geek in his 30s with long hair, a beard and a top hat who has been dubbed a 1960s Doctor Who.
- A gay Indian in his 30s, “a high maintenance receptionist who loves the spotlight”, described by Jamie as “funny but confrontational”
- The Hurricane, a larger-than-life 20-something girl who producers originally rejected as fake. She is said to hate her nipples and hides sweets down her pants.
The chosen ones will be unveiled in a special Big Brother auditions programme on Channel 5 on Tuesday 5th June, an hour before the launch show begins at 9PM.
Jamie added: “I am so confident with my choices. I predict that whoever viewers choose will go all the way and make the final.”
