Katy Perry’s Brit Boyfriend Rob Ackroyd Confirms Romance
Katy Perry’s new man, Florence + the Machine guitarist Robert Ackroyd, has seemingly confirmed their romance in a new interview with U.K. magazine Heat.
“She’s the real deal. She loves London, so I’m just showing her the sights,” he said.
When asked whether he and Perry, 27, were officially boyfriend and girlfriend or if it was — wait for it — “purely about sex”, he replied: “No, no, it’s not like that. Um, more like the other one.”
Though the pair was reported to have split two weeks ago, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer was later photographed with Ackroyd in London while over from the US to promote her new 3-D documentary, Part of Me.
The couple visited east London bars and a bowling alley during her trip.
Perry, who premiered he new video clip for “Wide Awake” on Monday, first went public with their fling at Coachella music festival in Indio, Calif. in March.
Perry’s husband, comedian Russell Brand, filed to divorce the pop star in December 2011, just 14 months after they said “I do.”
