And then we wondered—where are those golden locks? Sure, Theron could have tucked her hair under her hat because of the heat (no one likes a sweaty neck), but when she turned around, we realized what happened.
Charlize shaved her head!
Although we can't fully see the new 'do, E! News has confirmed that the Snow White and the Huntsman star did indeed shave off all those blond tresses—but it wasn't just for a liberating experience.
Theron took on the new look for her role as Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road, a reboot of the 1979 action film that originally starred Mel Gibson.
The flick, which also stars Tom Hardy, is scheduled to start shooting in Africa next month.
